Brief: Design a new product collection for Pink Planks across grass weaves, glassware, ceramics, furniture, and homestyle accessories.
Concept: This collection draws its essence from the elegance of flamingos and the serene energy of rose quartz, symbols of beauty, joy, harmony, and quiet happiness. Flamingo pink complements the identity of Pink Planks, while rose quartz, long revered as a stone of love, protection, and grounding, lends depth to our digitally printed cushion covers. The gentle pink palette speaks of empathy, compassion, and tenderness, perfectly attuned to the brand’s spirit. Each handmade cushion cover, created using the artisanal Shibori tie-and-dye technique, becomes not just a piece of décor but a tactile expression of artistry and emotion.

Process

Shibori tie-dye

The Shibori tie-and-dye technique carries with it the poetry of tradition and the spirit of craftsmanship. Through careful folding, binding, and dyeing, the fabric reveals fluid, organic patterns, each one unique, each one unrepeatable. No two pieces are ever the same; instead, they become living artworks, shaped by both the hand of the maker and the serendipity of the process. In Shibori, heritage meets artistry, resulting in textiles that embody elegance, depth, and soulful beauty.
Digital print iteration
Digital printing enables precision, detail, and limitless possibilities in translating designs onto fabric. It offers the freedom to experiment with intricate motifs, subtle gradients, and layered textures while maintaining clarity and vibrancy. This technique not only ensures accuracy but also allows creative concepts to be expressed with a contemporary edge, making it ideal for modern luxury textiles.
